Capt. Jon Florell, owner of Gulf Island Adventures, has fished and guided the waters of SW Florida for many years. For a long time, he has dreamed of building a fishing camp where anglers can stay in the estuaries and natural habitat of the area’s wild life and sea life, while offering multiple days of guided fishing. He wished to create a place where guests could experience the remote and uninhabited areas of South West Florida while enjoying all the creature comforts of home.

When Jon found the Gulf Island Adventures boat, it all clicked. “Lets make it a mobile fishing camp where we can offer a better variety of fishing packages and pool the knowledge of some of the best guides in the area. Offering a ‘Fishing Adventure’, rather than just another day fishing on a boat.”

While most folks come to South West Florida for the beaches, night life and sunbathing, we cater strictly to the sportsmen and women who are looking for a fishing adventure like no other.
